Connecticut Planning Regions Now in UAT

New Connecticut planning regions have been deployed to the CMS UAT environment, replacing legacy county structures to align with USPS geographic designations.

Action required for testing: Clients must manually update existing UAT configurations at the county level (geographic coverage areas, fees, turn times, etc.) to reflect the new planning regions, since the changes don't align one-to-one with previous structures.

Note: Connecticut zip codes themselves are unaffected, so any configurations that reside at the zip code level should remain unchanged.

Old Counties vs. New Planning Regions

  • FAIRFIELD → Greater Bridgeport, Western CT

  • HARTFORD → Capitol, Naugatuck Vly, NW Hills

  • LITCHFIELD → Naugatuck Vly, NW Hills, Western CT

  • MIDDLESEX → Capitol, Lower CT River Vly

  • NEW HAVEN → Capitol, Lower CT River Vly, Naugatuck Vly, South Central CT

  • NEW LONDON → Capitol, Lower CT River Vly, Northeastern CT, Southeastern CT

  • TOLLAND → Capitol

  • WINDHAM → Capitol, Northeastern CT

Next Steps

Connecticut county updates will move to production during Q1 2027, providing testing time ahead of the Q3/Q4 2026 UAD 3.6 migrations. Clients may contact their Cotality representative with questions.
